Day 1 (6th Aug, Sat) – Brisbane

Weather: Bright, Warm & Sunny
Reached Brisbane international airport at 9am! Upon getting passed the immigration check-point, RR’s luggage was being checked – cos of gummy bears! =S

My friend – Mervyn (a.k.a. Sleeping beast) picked us up at the airport. THANKS Beast, really appreciate your hospitality throughout our stay in Brisbane! Dropped our luggage and headed for our lunch at Coffee Club Brisbane near Brisbane river. Viewing the Brisbane river from the café is such a relaxation, especially with a glass of ice-mocha!
Lunch: Calamari with fries for me and Nachos with salsa for RR.

Ahh…. A very heavy lunch! Decided to have a walk by the river, through the garden and reached The University of Queensland. Very “English like” university… really feel like going back to Uni life again!

Enough of walking, we headed to Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. Clear blue water with white sand! Imagine if it’s summer, I can do my sun tanning there! Perhaps, next time with my prince charming. =)

Disappointed that I did not get any Hard Rock shot glass from Surfers Paradise cos OUT OF STOCKS! *fold arms* guess it’s an excuse that I can go back there again? :D

We had a very sumptuous dinner at Georges Paragon Restaurant (Surfers Paradise)! YUMMY!!! We ordered:
- Clam Chowder soup (starter)
- Oysters (appetizer)
- Lobster, Mixed seafood platter and Seafood pasta to share!

A very good place to dine, value for money as total, its only cost less than AUD100! BEST buy! Headed to the main street of Surfers Paradise, where we enjoyed the live music and breeze.

Tired… home sweet home. Went online and chat for a while with my loved ones… tired, sleepy now. Nite! *_*
